Grand theft auto 3 cheats...

All weapons
Platform: PlayStation 2

Press R2(2), L1, R2, Left, Down, Right, Up, Left, Down, Right, Up during game play. A message will confirm correct code entry. Repeat this code for more ammunition.

Armed Pedestrians
Platform: PlayStation 2

Press R2, R1, Triangle, X, L2, L1, Up, and Down during gameplay. A message will confirm correct code entry. Some pedestrians will throw bombs or shoot at you if you steal their car. Saving the game will make the effects of this code permanent.

Better Car Handling and Jumping!
Platform: PlayStation 2

Press R1, L1, R2, L1, Left, R1, R1, and Triangle during gameplay. A message will confirm that you entered the code correctly. Press L3 or R3 to jump while driving. Saving the game will make it so your car will never tip. Also every car will have hydraulics which will enable it jump 15 feet in the air over other cars.

You can use the car-jumping ability to access areas that are locked at the beginning of the game. It might take a few tries, but it is possible to jump over the broken bridges.
